Leading off in the bottom of the ninth inning, Pirates second baseman Bill Mazeroski hit a home run over the left-field wall to give Pittsburgh a 10-9 victory over the New York Yankees and the World Series title. It was the first time a home run had ended a World Series. Hundreds of Pirates fans celebrate the anniversary of Game 7 at the site of Forbes Field in Oakland, Pa.
