Why watch: The Raiders haven't had a .500 record during a season since 2004. A victory would give the Raiders that and a two-game winning streak entering their bye week. Daunte Culpepper will start at quarterback against the team that released him in July.
Rewind: The Dolphins pulled away in the fourth quarter on Ricky Williams' 34-yard touchdown run for a 33-21 victory Nov. 27, 2005, in Oakland. The Raiders' offensive line struggled, as Miami had seven sacks and made it tough on Kerry Collins.
RAIDERS WIDE RECEIVER
The Dolphins have allowed five pass plays of 25 yards or more. Porter has only four catches but is averaging 23 yards per reception. This could be his breakout game of the 2007 season.
SCOUTING REPORT
The Dolphins can't stop the run, and LaMont Jordan is second in the NFL with 350 rushing yards. The Dolphins are allowing 166 rushing yards a game, tied for 29th. With 85 yards today, Jordan will surpass his rushing total from 2006.
The Raiders' pass defense has been surprisingly suspect. The defensive line isn't generating enough pressure on quarterbacks, which is exposing the secondary.
The Raiders are still looking for a big play in the special-teams return game. Neither Johnnie Lee Higgins (punts) nor Chris Carr (kickoffs) has had good opportunities.

SCOUTING REPORT
The winless Dolphins' defense has allowed the past two opponents to score more than 30 points each. The Dolphins allowed only one opponent to score 30 or more last season.
Running back Ronnie Brown had his best overall game with 211 yards from scrimmage in last week's loss to the New York Jets. He ran for 112 yards after gaining 65 in his first two games.
Dolphins quarterback Trent Green knows the Raiders' defense well, having spent the previous six seasons with AFC West rival Kansas City.

RAIDERS LEFT TACKLE BARRY SIMS VS. DOLPHINS DEFENSIVE END JASON TAYLOR
Taylor is the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year and has given Sims fits. Sims got the best of Taylor in the Raiders' 27-0 victory in the 2000 playoffs. Taylor dominated two years ago with three sacks, one for a safety. Sims was beaten badly on the first play last week by Cleveland's Kamerion Wimbley for a sack but then settled down. Taylor, who has one sack in three games, is the best defensive end the Raiders have played this season.
