A San Francisco woman who has been missing since she was seen leaving Cache Creek Casino last week is dead.
The body of Chee Tse, 77, was found at 9:37 p.m. Sunday about a quarter-mile southeast of the casino in Brooks by a Yolo County sheriff's staff member, said Robert LaBrash, Yolo County's chief deputy coroner.
"There was no indication of foul play," he said.
Tse left her San Francisco home at 8 a.m. Tuesday for a trip to the casino. She was last seen walking eastbound on Highway 16, away from the casino, at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Michele Wallace, public information officer for the sheriff's department, stated in a news release.
Tse had age-related mental health issues, the family told authorities.
Sheriff's officials were notified of her disappearance Friday night and began searching for her that night. Rumsey and Guinda fire department staff members joined the search.
A massive search ensued Saturday and Sunday, with law enforcement officers and rescue teams from surrounding communities joining in the effort, which ran from the Colusa County line to the town of Esparto.
An autopsy was to be conducted Monday to determine a cause of death. A preliminary cause was not determined, Labrash said.
"Unfortunately, at this point we don't know," he said. "The autopsy should clear up a lot of the mystery about her death."
Tse's family has been notified, although the body has not been positively identified.
