Nicole Woolsey Biggart said today she will resign next July as dean of the Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Davis.
Biggart has been dean since July 2003. She is stepping down to return to full-time teaching and research.
The university said it will begin a nationwide search for a new dean immediately. Chancellor Larry Vanderhoef called Biggart "an accomplished academic" and "a natural as dean."
Among her accomplishments was the start of an MBA program in the Bay Area. She also oversaw the beginning of construction of a new home for the management school on the Davis campus, which is expected to open next September.
