SACRAMENTO -- Police are seeking two men thought to be responsible for a total of four home invasions in Natomas, authorities said.
At 4 a.m. Sunday, a masked man entered a North Natomas home -- possibly through an unlocked door -- and robbed the residents at gunpoint, spokesman Sgt. Matt Young said. The man sexually assaulted the woman before driving off in the homeowners' car, a silver 2004 Chevrolet SSR, license 7L62980, Young said.
The assailant was described as in his early 20s, 5-feet-6, and 130 to 150 pounds.
In what are believed to be unrelated incidents, police released a composite sketch Tuesday of a suspect in three home invasions at River Terrace Apartments on Millcreek Drive in South Natomas.
In each incident, the man politely approached three women, saying he was lost and needed directions. He then showed a gun and attempted to -- and in one case did -- sexually assault the women, Young said.
The attacks occurred 10:30 p.m. June 10 and 1:50 p.m. and 2:05 p.m. June 17. The assailant was described as 18 to 21 years old, 5-feet-7 to 5-feet-9 feet, with very short hair and a medium to dark complexion, Young said. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and maroon basketball shorts with a stripe on the side.
Anyone with information about either case can contact Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP or (800)-AA-CRIME. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
