SACRAMENTO -- The City Council on Tuesday postponed its scheduled discussion about annexing 1,430 acres known as "the panhandle" near North Natomas.

City officials said they want to wait until the Planning Commission makes a recommendation.

The land is bordered on the north by Elkhorn Boulevard and on the south by Interstate 80. It is bisected by Del Paso Road.
