DAVIS A free public lecture about how the brain helps humans understand the world will be given at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the University Club Lounge on the UC Davis campus.
George R. Mangun, professor of psychology and neurology and director of the Center for Mind and Brain at University of California, Davis, will discuss "How the Brain Creates Human Experience."
The University Club Lounge is at 1 Shields Ave. on campus.
The lecture is part of Brain Awareness Week, an international effort to increase public awareness of brain research. Mangun's talk is sponsored by the campus chapter of the Society for Neuroscience, the Center for Neuroscience and the Center for Mind and Brain.
