Cameron Park firm will pay state fine

Published: Saturday, Sep. 06, 2008 | Page 7B

A Cameron Park company has agreed to pay a $36,375 fine for violating diesel truck emission regulations.

The California Air Resources Board announced the fine Friday as part of a settlement with the Cameron Park office of Suburban Propane, which is based in New Jersey.

Suburban Propane agreed to the fine in early August, according to Air Resources Board records.

The board said Suburban Propane failed to annually inspect its heavy-duty diesel vehicles at multiple fleet centers in Northern California.

Officials at the Cameron Park office referred a reporter's call to the New Jersey headquarters. A call to the headquarters wasn't returned.
