G ene Berthelsen has been named executive director of the Sacramento Traditional Jazz Society. His duties will include overseeing the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee, adult and youth jazz camps, youth scholarship programs, education programs and monthly meetings. Berthelsen has worked with the Jazz Jubilee in a number of capacities since 1975, including editing and producing the festival program. For the last two years, he served as director of publicity and marketing.

Richard Harmon has been named assistant deputy for legislative affairs of the California Department of Transportation by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Harmon will serve as the liaison for the Legislature and Governor's Office on transportation issues. He will advance the administration's transportation policies; advise the Caltrans director, the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency and the Governor's Office; and disseminate information to legislators and their staff. Previously, he was chief of staff for Assemblywoman Bonnie Garcia, R-Cathedral City.

The Sher Institute for Reproductive Medicine -- Sacramento has hired Dr. Robert Greene as medical director. Greene's specialty is in hormone-brain research. He will focus on hormonal issues, treat male and female infertility issues and continue to develop the institution's in-vitro fertilization program.

Lundberg Family Farms has named Nils-Michael Langenborg vice president of marketing. He will be responsible for the company's marketing efforts and play a key role as a member of the executive management team. Langenborg brings more than 12 years of experience to the position.

Lawrence Kearney has joined the Laru Corp. as vice president of business development. He will develop and implement the company's sales strategy and manage business partner relationships. Previously, he was a sales manager and consultant for wireless and broadband communication companies.

Granite Bay Community Bank has hired Judy Reese as controller and Sarah Keesling as business development officer. Reese brings more than 30 years to the position and will help the bank with its financial reporting. Keesling will help new and existing customers with their banking needs. She also will be a liaison with the chambers of commerce in Roseville, Rocklin and Lincoln.

Greg Zeiss has been hired as the Northern California transportation construction services manager for HDR, an architectural, engineering and consulting firm. He will lead the construction services group on roadway and bridge construction projects.

McDonough Holland & Allen PC has hired Jamie Errecart and Blake Robinson as litigation associates. Errecart will focus on the business services practice. Robinson will focus on construction-related litigation.

DLR Group, an architecture, planning, engineering and interiors company, has hired Cassy Preheim as job captain and Natalie Venegas as director of marketing. Preheim will be responsible for managing and coordinating the drawings from the design process through the construction document phase, as well as performing site analysis for both design and construction administration. Venegas will be responsible for managing the proposal/business development process, as well as developing and implementing the marketing plan and public relation campaigns.
