Eclipse Solutions, a Sacramento-based provider of IT consultant services to state and local governments, has been acquired by Public Consulting Group of Boston.
PCG, which operates across the United States and in Montreal, provides management consultancy and technology to government and education clients.
Terms of the deal between the two privately held firms were not disclosed, and neither company responded to calls for comment.
"Eclipse's expertise is a great strategic fit with our extensive management consulting experience with state and local health, human services, and other government agencies," Bill Mosakowski, CEO of PCG, said in a statement.
In addition to Sacramento, Eclipse has operations in another state capital Olympia, Wash., as well as in Southern California and Arkansas.
Eclipse was founded in 1997.
