A new poll by the Public Policy Institute of California shows air pollution remains the top environmental concern of California voters, although global warming worries are increasing.

More than half of likely voters said presidential candidates' positions on the environment will be a very important factor in determining their vote next year, a sharp increase over 2004. And Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's overall job rating has slipped slightly from January, but still remains high at 59 percent.
