Yosemite Joseph Grinnell resurvey

-
Retired U.C. Berkeley zoology professor Jim Patton scrambles across rocks at 10,150 feet near upper Young Lake as he heads for one of many small mammal traps. Patton, his wife Carol, and Les Chow, a data manager with the National Park Service, are working on the Joseph Grinnell resurvey project at upper Young Lake in Yosemite National Park. The original Grinnell survey was done in 1915.Randy Pench | The Sacramento Bee
