Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will travel today to Columbus, Ohio, for the 20th annual Arnold Sports Festival, a three-day competition of bodybuilding, gymnastics and other endeavors that bears his name.
The governor each year attends bodybuilding contests, holds a question-and-answer session and tours the event's cavernous hall of exhibitors selling various dietary supplements and workout gear.
Schwarzenegger last year said he'd like to have drug testing conducted five minutes before each competition. But he said various sports federations sanction their own contests at the event, and the sheer number of athletes 17,000 make it difficult to "do what I think is idealistic."
The governor has no plans right now to campaign for Sen. John McCain in Ohio, even though he will be there on the weekend before the state's GOP presidential primary.
