We're talking breakfast again, specifically going out on the town for a weekday breakfast, because that's when it's such a delicious indulgence.

Last month, I gave you some of my favorite spots (see box on Page D8). Most are around the central city, since that's where I work and eat a lot of pancakes and omelets. And I asked for your suggestions.

You came through, but before we get to the extended list, here's a tip of the ol' breakfast fork to my new friends at the Zebra Club, 1900 P St., Sacramento; breakfast 8 a.m.-2 p.m.; (916) 442-3972. It's a classic "dive bar" in all the good ways.

The Bee was barely on the streets with the breakfast column when Zebra fans – and, I'm guessing, patrons that very morning, possibly sitting at the bar – started calling to politely nominate their hangout for its steak and eggs, among other breakfasts.

Since I'm a sucker for zealous promotion, particularly ones involving bars – and, it turns out, their breakfast really is good –the Zebra Club starts the list .

Here are the rest of the most popular suggestions. All got raves. Remember, hours are for weekday breakfast service. (And by the way, for all you restaurants out there, may I suggest putting your hours, including breakfast hours, on your Web sites? Just trying to help.)

33rd Street Bistro, 3301 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento, 8-10:30 a.m., (916) 455-2233, www.33rdstreetbistro.com. Classy midtown feel. Great food. Outdoor seating.
