Six Organs of Admittance, Master Musicians of Bukkake, Dead Western

What: Immerse yourself in abstract sights and sounds at this special concert at Davis' John Natsoulas Gallery, hosted by alternative radio station KDVS (90.3 FM). You'll be surrounded by the steel sculptural art of Cedric Wentworth as you're serenaded by a mélange of trippy psychedelic rock, lush folk melodies and synth-fueled electronic excursions that might make you think twice about which radio stations you've got on the preset.

SacAnime Festival

What: Fans of anime, manga and cosplay art will think they've died and gone to heaven at the SacAnime Festival, where celebrity special guests from the thriving underground world of anime art will make appearances. But that's just the beginning. There will be video gaming rooms where attendees can battle their peers, live music (including a band that covers songs from video games), a cosplay masquerade and plenty of contests for the aspiring anime artist.

When: 10 a.m.-2 a.m. Saturday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday

10th anniversary Ho'ike

What: The authentic culture of Hawaii is smiling in Sacramento, thanks to Halau Ka Waikahe Lani Malie and Halau Kahulaliwai, male and female groups dedicated to perpetuating the spirituality of hula as an enduring cultural touchstone and a practiced way of life. In celebration of the 10th anniversary, more than 200 students of all ages and skill levels will perform on the Mondavi stage, sharing both ancient and modern songs from Hawaii. The popular Hawaiian band Kekaniwai will provide live music.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus

What: "The Greatest Show on Earth" stops in Sacramento with its newest installment, "Zing Zang Zoom." Barnum & Bailey's circus spectacular tells the story of Magical Zingmaster Alex and his assistant, Levitytia, who must protect the uplifting spirit of the circus from the cynical Mr. Gravity. Kids will gasp in disbelief at disappearing elephants, human cannonballs, high-wire walkers and other classic circus stunts.

Miners' Picnic

What: At the 114th annual Miners' Picnic, denizens of Grass Valley will participate in old-fashioned activities like cake walks, gunnysack races and a ladies' slipper-kicking contest. Once a fundraiser for miners injured in the gold mines, this event has evolved into a family-oriented community celebration, complete with old-time music and living-history presentations. Proceeds from a silent auction will benefit Empire Mine State Park.

When: 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Call Me Ishmael, Pets, the New Humans

What: Three heavily applauded local bands constitute the exciting lineup tonight at Old Ironsides, and electro-rockers the New Humans will give Sacramento the medicine it craves: a sample of the band's forthcoming EP. Also playing are alternative rock trio Call Me Ishmael and the duo Pets – who, like a small domestic animal, are impossible not to love.

What: This action- packed event will energize your body, your spirit and your crush on fitness celebrity Jackie Warner. The Bravo channel star arrives in Sacramento to impart fitness and wellness tips, and attendees can try novel workout activities, such as an adult obstacle course and a hula hoop contest. Partake in wellness workshops, hands-on kids activities and an array of wholesome food samples you'll actually be interested in eating. When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
