Credit counselor By Design Financial Solutions is offering Sacramento-area personal finance workshops and live Web seminars exploring alternatives to foreclosure.
The counseling firm has scheduled three pre-bankruptcy workshops explaining options for getting out of debt, the types of bankruptcy and credit issues after bankruptcy.
Two-hour sessions beginning at 5:30 p.m. will be held Tuesday, Nov. 14 and Dec. 2. Attendees receive certificates showing completion of a personal finance management course in compliance with the bankruptcy code. Cost is $60.
By Design also has six free two-hour Web seminars provided over the telephone and Internet. The sessions offer information to help homeowners better understand alternatives to surrendering their homes to the bank.
The two-hour sessions start at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and Oct. 16, Nov. 5 and 13 and Dec. 3 and 11.
The counseling firm also has scheduled a free workshop on foreclosure alternatives from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Nov. 15.
