Interested in adding solar panels to your home, but don't know where to begin? A new Web site of the California Energy Commission provides a one-stop shopping resource for residents interested in adding solar panels to new or existing homes.

Go Solar California offers nuts-and-bolts information about state and federal rebate programs and a searchable database of solar photovoltaic retailers and installers registered with the state.

Visitors can also use an interactive map to view new energy-efficient solar home communities throughout the state.
