Letters: Thanks from Citrus Heights Lions

Published: Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008 | Page 5F

There are a lot of very giving and caring people who reside in the Sacramento area.

The Citrus Heights Lions participated in the Red, White and Blue Parade in June, collecting used eyeglasses for people who really need them.

Thanks to all of you, the club received a tremendous number of eyeglasses. In addition, the club wishes to thank the media, including The Bee, for helping to get the word out to the community about this Lions project.

We thank you all, and those who will benefit from your generosity are very, very grateful for your help.

Keep those used eyeglasses coming. Call the Lions' message center at (916) 723-4239 to find out where you can drop off your old pair of eyeglasses.

For more information about the Lions Club, go to www.chlions.com or the Lions' district Web site at www.district4c5.net.
