El Dorado authorities find dog that bit girl

Published: Friday, Nov. 21, 2008

The El Dorado County Health Services Department reported that a dog that bit an 11-year-old girl in El Dorado Hills on Nov. 9 was located Thursday.

Margaret Williams, a spokeswoman for the department, said the dog was observed to be in good health.

The girl suffered a small slash on the ear, and is recovering. Animal Services officers needed to verify that the dog was healthy so that the child would not have to go through post-exposure rabies treatments.
