Safetyville USA offers youngsters practical safety education in a small town setting -- small as in a 1/3-scale town that has sidewalks, streetlights, businesses as well as police and fire stations. Volunteers lead children on tours of the city and teaches them fire, bicycle, pedestrian, electrical and railroad safety.

Tours are scheduled from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays. Call (916) 366-SAFE (7233) ext. 239 to book a tour.

Tour fee: $2 per person.
