Isleton

Located in the Delta area, Iselton is home to the popular Crawdad Festival

One-hundred years ago, Isleton residents loaded steamboats on the Sacramento River with fruits and vegetables for the San Francisco Bay area. Today, they feed nearly 200,000 visitors during the three-day Crawdad Festival in June.

With only about 850 residents, Isleton is located right on the Sacramento River, opening up to the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, with its wide array of activities. Houseboating, fishing, waterskiing, sailing are just some of the possibilities in the rich Delta.

Isleton is protected from the Sacramento River by levees built years ago. Today the levees carry a highway leading north to Sacramento, or residents can hop onto Interstate 5.

A touch of yesteryear flavors Isleton with its tiny downtown and slow-moving lifestyle.

Both rental housing and private homes are available in the city as well nearby. Some old Victorians can be found nestled in the pear fields surrounding the town.

Commute time to downtown Sacramento

The typical commute for a resident of Isleton is about 36 minutes. Sacramento is about one hour away.
