The community of North Sacramento, once suffering from declining population, is undergoing a bit of a revival highlighted by a growing arts community.
Its fans cite the attractiveness of its "artsy urban edge, unique businesses, and its quaint small-town charm."
The community includes studios in which artists both live and work, galleries and other facilities for performing and visual arts.
North Sacramento is very close to all of the amenities of downtown Sacramento and right on the light rail line. Shopping is also handy at shops in North Sacramento and at the Arden Fair Mall.
The 23-mile-long American River Parkway is easily accessible. Homes and rental housing are available at affordable prices. The Woodlake neighborhood carries the charm of older, well-kept homes.
