Teachers in Sacramento County's lowest-performing schools were more likely to be laid off this year than their counterparts. About 11.1 percent of teachers at low-performing schools got pink slips in May, compared to 6.8 percent of teachers at other schools.
This map shows low performing schools at five Sacramento County districts -- Sacramento City, Elk Grove, Twin Rivers, Natomas and San Juan. The RED markers indicate a school that cut more than 6.8 percent of its teachers. The GREEN markers indicate a school that cut less than 6.8 percent of its teachers.
