This colorful scene along a packer’s trail in Sabrina Basin, with majestic High Sierra peaks in the distance, fulfills our vision for fall colors in the mountains. This photo was made on October 2, 2010 with a Canon 24-105mm zoom lens on a Canon 5D MkII full frame sensor camera. The exposure was 1/20 sec. at f-22 using ISO 400 and a circular polarizing filter to darken the sky and allow the foliage to stand out.
