104 Yosemite green

Bee/Dave Henry
The foliage in Yosemite is about two weeks away. The big leaf maples are beginning to turn in scattered fashion but everything else is still green. There isn’t much water flowing either. My suggestion is to shoot the color in the Eastern Sierra because it is peak right now. This photo was made with a Canon 24-105mm zoom lens set at 45mm on a Canon 5D MkII full frame sensor camera. The exposure was 1/180 sec. at f-13 using ISO 800 and a polarizing filter. For information on exposure, lighting, filters and composition, please check our Tips and Techniques section.
