132 Lundy Back Bay

Bee/Dave Henry
The large back bay, that I call simply the back bay because it differentiates it from the Beaver Pond, is almost completely down. The winds were picking up so I wouldn’t bother making the drive. The heavy rains last weekend made the already deep ruts in the road even deeper to this area. Avoid it unless you have a high clearance vehicle. This photo was made on October 26, 2010 with a Canon 24mm tilt/shift lens with 2mm fall movement on a Canon 5D MkII full frame sensor camera. The exposure was 1/125 sec. at f-9.5 using ISO 400 and a polarizing filter. For information on exposure, lighting, filters and composition, please check our Tips and Techniques section.
