Typically we report when Target launches one of its GO International fashion collections the Sunday the clothes appear in stores.
But advance notice is in order for next Sunday, when the retailer celebrates the five-year anniversary of the GO International program.
This program features affordably priced apparel from some of the world's most-watched designers, including Zac Posen, Thakoon (by Thakoon Panichgul) and Rodarte (by Laura and Kate Mulleavy). (Oscar winner Natalie Portman wore a purple gown from Rodarte at last Sunday's awards show.)
The five-year anniversary is super special because it will feature 34 dresses from 17 of the past GO International designers the three mentioned above plus Luella Bartley (one of the first to launch a line), Tara Jarmon, Paul & Joe (by Sophie Albou), Behnaz Sarafpour, Proenza Schouler (by Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez), Libertine (by Johnson Hartig), Alice Temperley, Erin Fetherston, Jovovich-Hawk (by Milla Jovovich and Carmen Hawk), Rogan (by Rogan Gregory), Richard Chai, Jonathan Saunders, Tracy Feith and Tucker (by Gaby Basora).
Five of the dresses are shown here. The collection will range in price from $24.99 to $44.99 and will be available next Sunday through April 10. The collection also will be available online at www.target.com.
We're getting the word out early because it wouldn't be a bad idea to plan your Target run sooner than later once the dresses arrive. Most of the March fashion magazines feature ads for the collection, which is right on point for spring trends: a nice mix of colors and fabrics with extra details like ruffles. And there are suitable lengths for any age. Some of the dresses would also look cute paired with jeans.
