The deals: At this upscale restaurant, customers have their choice of nearly a dozen half-priced appetizers carefully crafted with influences spanning the globe. Thai chicken spring rolls ($5.95) and kung pao calamari ($5.95) sit next to wild mushroom bruschetta ($4.95) and wood-fired clams on this menu. Specialty cocktails like the watermelon basil martini and the pure cane mojito are $7.50, and wines by the glass run $5.50 to $10.50. Beers are $4 and well drinks are $5.

The deals: During Hoppy Hour, pints of this local brewery's frosty beers are $3.50 each. On top of that, during the late-night Hoppy Hour, select appetizers are half-priced. Customers can grab five chicken wings – Jamaican jerk is very popular, though other flavors like super-hot and barbecue are available – for $2. If you've been interested in trying a bison dog, here's the perfect chance. Two bucks will get you a jalapeño, buffalo or Hoppy bison dog on a warm baguette. Sliders of all kinds are also $2 each. Choose from turkey, buffalo, crab cake, pulled pork, veggie or peanut butter and jelly.

The deals: At this restaurant, Mexican food and drink are the obvious focus. Just a few items on special are margaritas ($5 each or $18 per pitcher), Mexican drafts beers ($4), Mexican sangria ($5 per glass or $15 per pitcher), micheladas (beer with tomato juice, spices and lime) and cheladas (beer with salt and lime). Munch on small bites such as tacos a la carte, $2 each for chicken, carnitas, or vegetarian and $3 for fish. The empanadas (available in chicken and mushroom or three-cheese and epazote), guacamole and vegetarian taquitos are $4. Bigger appetites, such as the Mexican hamburger, cost $12.
