If your idea of the perfect getaway is listening to mariachi music in its birthplace, now's your chance to hop on a direct flight down to Guadalajara, Mexico.
With tonight's scheduled arrival of Flight 614 at 11:25 p.m., Aeromexico is initiating daily nonstop service to and from Sacramento International Airport, according to a news release from the airport.
Outbound flights to Guadalajara will depart at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, the release said, touching down on Mexican soil six hours later. The aircraft, in both directions, will be a Boeing 737.
"I am pleased to announce the return of a foreign carrier to our family of airlines," said G. Hardy Acree, Sacramento County Airport System director of airports, in a statement. "... Aeromexico understands the strength of our market."
