Cats rally to defeat Reno in 11 innings
Turning point: Adrian Cardenas' single scored Josh Donaldson in the bottom of the 11th inning, lifting the River Cats over Reno 11-10 Sunday.
Major league moment: Sacramento's Kevin Kouzmanoff tied the score 10-10 with a three-run homer in the eighth. It was the third baseman's second homer of the game, one day after he hit a walk-off homer.
Take a bow: River Cats designated hitter Chris Carter went 4 for 6, including his seventh homer of the season.
Who's hot: Donaldson, who went 2 for 3 and reached base four times, is hitting .373 in July.
Who's not: Reno reliever Esmerling Vasquez took the loss and was ejected after hitting Donaldson with a pitch in the 11th. Earlier this season, Aces pitcher Barry Enright hit Donaldson with a pitch, clearing both benches.
Worth noting: A victory tonight would give the River Cats a 9-7 season series victory over their Interstate 80 rivals.
