Hours: 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday, 11:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 11:30 a.m.-midnight Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m.- 10 p.m. Sunday

Happy hour: 2-7 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, 2-6 p.m. and 9 p.m.-midnight Thursday to Saturday

The real steal: Belly up for $3 draft beers or pay $5 for specialty drinks and select wine by the glass. Five dollars will also get you a slightly smaller version of any of the pizzas and appetizers, such as chicken and pork sliders or fish tacos.

The vibe: Dive into the heart of the California wine country in an upscale restaurant with a mural along the top half of the wall. The circular bar, with its stone countertop, sits right at the center of the restaurant. A fireplace lies on either side of the restaurant.

Signature drink: It seems a little odd to suggest a specialty cocktail at a place known for serving wine, but the happy hour wines tend to change quite a bit. So, we're recommending the popular spicy Sweet Jalapeño Martini. That cocktail, along with the sweet-and-sour Cherry Lime Drop, the Grape Tart Tini, and the Sweet Weed Tea are $5.

Bathroom break: The bathrooms are spacious, with enough space to wash your hands, freshen up, or wait for a friend without being in anyone's way on a busy evening.

Alternative libations: Want to have a glass of wine, even if it's not on special? Check out these regularly available vintages: Orogeny Chardonnay from the Russian River appellation and Terrazas Malbec from Argentina.

Something extra: You won't get the happy hour price, but on either side of the restaurant there is a fireplace, perfect for a romantic tête-á-tête.
