Infielder pitches, takes loss for Cats
Turning point: Sacramento infielder Wes Timmons went 0 for 5, snapping a 15-game hitting streak. He also took the loss on the mound after allowing a run in the 10th inning. Matt Pagnozzi doubled home the winning run off Timmons as host Colorado Springs topped the River Cats 6-5 in Monday's regular-season finale.
Major league moment: With two outs in the ninth, River Cats pinch hitter Joel Galarraga drove in the tying run with a single to left field.
Take a bow: Timmons threw a "changeup" in the 50-mph range.
Worth noting: Sacramento's franchise-best 10-game winning streak ended.
Upcoming: The River Cats open their first-round playoff series Wednesday in Reno.
