I’m teaching photo workshops the next two weekends in Bishop on fall foliage. We decided to take a few Milky Way photos tonight and were out until 11pm. That’s why only half the group decided to go. Here’s a shot of those who did attend. This photo was made on September 30, 2011 with a Canon 5D MkII camera using a Canon 15mm fisheye lens. The exposure was 30 sec. at f/2.8 using ISO 3200 and we painted the people with light from a small penlight. For more information on exposure and filters, check our Tips and Techniques section.
