I woke up to a big snowstorm in the Sierra. The 9,000-foot level in Bishop Creek Canyon received about 7 inches of snow. Most of the aspen trees were bent over from the weight of the snow. I hurried to the end of the road so that I could be part of the action. My friend Bob and I were the only photographers around for most of the morning. Turns out, the 4WD was just what was needed. This photo was made on October 5, 2011 with a Canon 5D MkII camera using the Canon 24-105mmL IS zoom set to 67mm. The exposure was 1/250 sec. at f/8 using ISO 400.
