077 This is the west end of the first tree tunnel at the back of North Lake. Note the heavy boughs of snow on the aspens. The color was perfect the day before. Check yesterdays gallery photos. The secret to shooting snow is to use your camera in manual mode and check exposures with an LCD screen loupe such as the one made by Hoodman. This photo was made on October 5, 2011 with a Canon 5D MkII camera using the Canon 24-105mmL IS zoom set to 24mm. The exposure was 1/250 sec. at f/22 using ISO 400.
