Scottish Ballet
WHAT: The Scottish Ballet, known for both classical and contemporary works, is making its first national U.S. tour in 25 years. The program to be performed here features Kenneth MacMillan's classic "Song of the Earth" (set to Gustav Mahler's "Das Lied von der Erde") and "King 2 Ends," a new piece by Finnish-born choreographer Jorma Elo. Ruth Rosenberg, artist engagement coordinator for the Mondavi Center, will lead a post- performance Q&A in the theater.

WHAT: Scott Thompson and Kevin McDonald, two members of the Canadian sketch comedy group Kids in the Hall, do their quirky skit and stand-up stuff for club audiences. Thompson is perhaps best known for his show monologues as effeminate socialite Buddy Cole. McDonald was Cathy of Cathy and Kathie, secretaries at A.T.& Love (a sort of "The Office" before there was "The Office").

Louis Prima Jr.
WHAT: Louis Prima Jr. carries on the legacy of his trumpeter dad, who was known as the original "king of swing." Prima Sr. started with a seven-piece New Orleans style jazz band in the 1920s, then led a swing combo in the 1930s and a big band in the 1940s. He had a successful Las Vegas lounge act in the 1950s. Prima Jr. started with a mildly successful pop-rock band before, in 1995, deciding to go back to his roots his father's music.

New Jack Swing Tour
WHAT: Teddy Riley, who is credited with creating the new jack swing genre of music, takes us back to the '90s when he brings his hot band Blackstreet to town, along with Bell Biv DeVoe (Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins and Ronnie DeVoe), the R&B trio SWV (Sisters With Voices) and R&B, soul and gospel group Dru Hill.
