The Sacramento State men's and women's basketball teams open their seasons tonight with a doubleheader at the Nest.
The women host Cal State Fullerton at 5:05 p.m., followed by the men against Menlo College at 7:35 p.m.
A single admission for both games is $10 general, $5 for children. Reserve tickets are $12.
The UC Davis men and women also open the season tonight. The men play Southern Utah in the opening game of the Basketball Travelers Tournament in San Diego. The women are at Washington.

New hitting coach for Cats
The A's announced Thursday that Greg Sparks will be the River Cats hitting coach for the 2012 season.
Sparks replaces Todd Steverson, who will take over Sparks' previous position as minor league roving hitting instructor for the A's.
The A's also announced that Darren Bush will return for a second season as the River Cats' manager. His staff will include pitching coach Scott Emerson and trainer Brad LaRosa.
Sparks, who was the minor league roving hitting instructor for eight seasons, also managed in the A's system for six years.
Hornets men's soccer season ends with loss
Sacramento State lost 4-2 to San Jose State in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men's soccer tournament quarterfinals in Denver, Sac State reported.
The Hornets finished with a 9-8-2 record.
