Garrett Seawell placed first and Wyatt Landrum third Saturday to propel American River College to the men's state cross country title at Woodward Park in Fresno.
Seawell set a course record, completing four miles in 19 minutes, 53.06 seconds. Landrum finished in 20:09.56.
Matt Airola was seventh, Will Melton 13th and Steven White 26th for ARC.
Earlier this month, ARC won its sixth Northern California title, taking the top four individual places.
"The guys are so excited," coach Rick Anderson said. "I told the guys that if we run at the state championships like we did at the NorCal meet, I don't care what anyone else does. We'll win it."

• Aaron Salit scored four goals, including one in the second sudden-victory period, to lead fourth-seeded UC Davis to a 7-6 semifinal upset over top-seeded Loyola Marymount in the Western Water Polo Association championships at UC San Diego, according to a UCD news release. The Aggies (22-11) face UC San Diego for the title today.
• In a match to decide the Nos. 2 and 3 seeds in the Big Sky Conference volleyball tournament, host Portland State swept Sacramento State 25-19, 25-22, 26-24, according to Portland State's website. The Vikings (17-12, 12-4) host the Hornets (17-14, 10-6) on Friday.
• Betsy Sedlak and Katie Denny combined for 21 kills as the host UC Davis volleyball team ended the season by sweeping Pacific 25-21, 25-22, 25-23, UCD reported. The Aggies went 21-10 overall and 7-9 in the Big West Conference.
