DEAR SHOPPING: Is there a color-depositing shampoo to replace L'Oréal Colorist Collection's mahogany shampoo? I have postponed the drudgery of really coloring my hair for years using this product and now I understand it has been discontinued.
Roberta, Sacramento
DEAR ROBERTA: There are several brands of color- depositing shampoo to replace your L'Oréal product. They include All-Nutrient cool brown or warm brown shampoo ($15), ClayPac Color Shampoo in cappuccino ($7.50) and Tressa Hazelnut or Cocoa Watercolor Shampoo ($13). You can order at www. haircareusa.com. The ClayPac brand is also carried at Total Beauty Experience, 2929 Arden Way in Sacramento.
Aveda's line of color- enriching hair products, includes one Clove that's for brunettes. You can buy this product online at www.aveda.com where you can find a list of local Aveda salons.
DEAR SHOPPING: I have a list of many of the products you recommend in "Shopping for Answers," but can you help me find one? It's Cellex-C Sea Silk Oil-Free Moisturizer ($54 for two ounces).
Melita, Sacramento
DEAR MELITA: You're in luck! The entire line of Cellex-C products is now on sale at Drugstore.com. The moisturizer you want is 25 percent off $46.50 for two ounces. You might try any of the vitamin C treatments, especially the eye cream.
DEAR SHOPPERS: Re: drawstring pjs. Pat in Cameron Park was shopping the after-holiday sales and emailed that she found both flannel and classic cotton pajamas with a drawstring waist (no elastic!) at the Brooks Brothers store in Roseville. The cotton version is also available online at www.brooksbrothers.com.
