Occupy protesters say they will resume activities on the University of California, Davis this week as the winter quarter begins.

A series of workshops titled "Examining Power and Privilege in Our Movement" start at 6 p.m. today. The workshops, at various locations on campus, end Wednesday, Jan. 11.

Information posted online indicates that the tent occupation of a campus quad will resume Thursday.

The Davis occupation stirred national interest after students were pepper-sprayed by campus police who sought to end the initial encampment. After the incident, the campus backed away from efforts to remove the students. By the end of the quarter, the tent encampment had grown to 70 tents. Students voluntarily removed their tents prior to the winter break.

The student-led group, outside of the formal student leadership of the campus, has demanded the resignation of Chancellor Linda P.B. Katehi, reform of the campus police presence and an end to tuition hikes.

UC Davis student Artem Raskvin said the group will gather soon to readdress the three demands issued last quarter.
