The Moneywise Empowerment tour comes to Sacramento on Saturday.
The free event from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Center of Praise Ministries, 1228 23rd St., Sacramento, offers financial help and advice to people in underserved communities on how to reduce debt, increase savings and preserve their homes.
The national tour, sponsored by E-Trade Financial, Bank of the West and New York Life, is the outreach program for the American Public Television series "Moneywise with Kelvin Boston."
Boston will speak at the event along with financial journalist Valerie Coleman Morris, and National Association of Human Resource Professionals President Carl Jefferson.
Representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration, the FDIC, NAACP and local nonprofit organizations will also be at the event. For information and to register, visit www.moneywise.tv/empowerment-tour
