Westbound lanes of the Bay Bridge will be closed during the Presidents' Day weekend.
The westbound lanes into San Francisco will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday, Feb.17, to 5 a.m. Tuesday Feb. 21. Eastbound traffic leaving the city will not be affected.
The westbound closure is necessary to construct a slight detour near the toll plaza. Weather could slow construction and delay the re-opening of the westbound deck For latest construction and closure updates go to BayBridgeInfo.org.
Motorists should allow extra time for travel and use other bridges, including the Golden Gate, the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge and the Dumbarton Bridge.
After, construction, once the lanes re-open on Tuesday, westbound motorists will have a slight detour as they approach the upper deck.
