Miyamoto International, the West Sacramento-based structural, earthquake and risk engineering firm, said it has acquired two Southern California structural engineering firms.
Financial terms of the acquisitions were not disclosed.
KLT Consulting Structural Engineers in Newport Beach specializes in commercial and industrial markets in Southern California. Silver & Associates in Los Angeles has expertise in commercial, industrial and retail structures. Both companies will operate under the Miyamoto name.
Miyamoto International also noted that recent company growth includes new offices in Haiti, Bangkok, New Zealand and Thailand.
"In the past three years, Miyamoto grew 48 percent through the recession. This year, we anticipate 25 percent growth," said Kit Miyamoto, CEO and president. "Despite the current economy, we are growing, expanding our team in the United States and globally, to better serve the needs of our clients and communities.
"We are determined to provide disaster-sustainable communities worldwide."
