Poll
How many PGA Tour events will Tiger Woods win this year?
Your vote has been counted, thank you for voting.
Tiger Woods is like a multiple Cy Young Award winner who now hangs the breaking ball and has lost velocity off the fastball.
He's a 2,000-yard rusher running on gimpy knees behind a bad offensive line.
He's a basketball star who can no longer hit from his favorite spot, an All-Star hockey goalie who's now a blink-of-an-eye too slow.
Woods is a 14-time major golf tournament champion who can no longer find his game on Sunday afternoons. Those red Nike shirts that used to make opposing golfers buckle now wave like red capes at charging bulls.
For the second time this season, Woods had his chance Sunday to end his winless drought on the PGA Tour. But when it came time to make big shots in the final round at the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, Woods' grip on his clubs tightened, and he came up short.
While Phil Mickelson deserves props for his 64 Sunday, Woods' 75 was horrendous. Just when it seemed Woods was finding his game, he looked further away than ever.
Woods is winless on the PGA Tour since his private world became public in November 2009. His last victory on the tour was the BMW Championship on Sept. 13, 2009.
A new swing coach hasn't helped; neither has a new caddie. He's had injuries, but he supposedly had a pain-free offseason.
The search goes on. Like a weekend hack on the muni links searching for a stray shot in the rough, Woods can't find his game.
What to watch
NBA, Kings at Chicago, 5 p.m., CSNCA: It's the opener of a six-game trip in nine days.
