Instructor Jill Simmons will take her cue from Julia Child when it comes to making French croissants, using "a risen yeast-milk-and-flour dough that is rolled, slathered with butter, and folded to create flaky layers."

Join this soup line and do some good. All proceeds benefit Loaves & Fishes and St. John's Shelter. Kids eat free, chef Patrick Mulvaney says, because they should never have to worry about their next meal. Chefs around the region are pitching in on this effort.
