A Chicago-based startup specializing in online/mobile phone-enabled auto repair services, announced today that it has launched in major California metro markets, including Sacramento.
BodyShopBids enables consumers to solicit auto repair estimates by uploading a photo of a damaged vehicle and then picking from price quotes from nearby, participating body shops within 24 hours.
BodyShopBids says it evaluates body shops to ensure that they provide honest and reputable service.
The company's services are available via the Web (www.bodyshopbids.com), iPhone and Android.
The Chicago company said it is initially rolling out service in Sacramento, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Oakland and Anaheim.
"California offers a tremendous opportunity for our service, with millions of drivers concentrated in large metro areas," said Brad Weisberg, founder and CEO of BodyShopBids.
