What: This microbrewery opened recently and is run by brewmaster David Mathis and head brewer Andrew Armstrong, formerly of BJ's Brewhouse. This microbrewer is all about simplicity. For Beer Week it will offer its two signature beers its clean and traditional Sunrise IPA and its chocolatey Coloma Brown ale.

LOCKDOWN BREWING CO.
What: This microbrewery is a scant two blocks from the Sunrise light-rail stop on the Folsom line. A small bar and an upstairs lounge with a pool table is the backdrop for its eight microbrews and one root beer, all of which are brewed off-site. For Beer Week, it will offer its RailXRyderRye Pale Ale.

HOPPY BREWING CO.
What: A favorite stop for lovers of brews with a proud flavor, this microbrewery offers pub fare and during Beer Week will offer two brewer's specials amid the nine brews it pours daily.

Hours: 11 a.m.-noon Sunday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. 1 p.m. Thursday through Saturday

BREW YOUR OWN ADVENTURES
What: Microbrew tours are not new, but are fairly new to Sacramento. This one, run by tour operator and home-brewer Joshua Denton, offers themed tours on a 15-seat bus. Prices are $40 to $55 for tours, includings snacks and beer tastings. The next tour, March 2, goes to the Sacramento Theatre Co. and its production of "Dial M for Murder" for an 8 p.m. show. Before the show, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Brew Your Own Adventures will be host for a tasting of Lockdown Brewing Co. Folsom Prison Brews in the lobby. Custom tours are also available.
