In the wake of a court decision earlier this week, the UC Davis pepper-spray task force has formally postponed plans to release its report next week on the Nov. 18 campus disturbance.
Cruz Reynoso, the former associate Supreme Court justice heading the task force, has twice postponed the release because of legal challenges.
"I have been informed that, as a result, the task force chaired by (Reynoso) has decided to postpone public release of the report beyond the first week of April," UC general counsel Charles Robinson said in a statement Thursday.
Robinson added that "Reynoso will confer with task force members to reschedule public release of the report."
An Alameda Superior Court judge has issued a stay preventing release of portions of the report pertaining to campus police through April 20, and lawyers in the matter are still deciding whether to file appeals.
