The Elk Grove Unified School District will host two immunization clinics for its students in April and May.
The clinics will offer all the necessary shots for school entry, including the pertussis or whooping cough booster shot required for all incoming seventh-graders.
Students are eligible if they have no health insurance that covers vaccines, are Medi-Cal eligible or are an American Indian or an Alaska native.
The clinics will be at Joseph Kerr Middle School, 8865 Elk Grove Blvd. in Elk Grove, on April 26 and at Samuel Jackman Middle School, 7925 Kentwall Drive in Sacramento, on May 2. Both clinics are from 3 to 6 p.m.
The clinics are sponsored in part by a grant from Kaiser Permanente and Vaccines for Children.
