Former Davis High standout Jalil Anibaba had his team's only goal – and his first of the season – in a 2-1 Major League Soccer loss at Portland on Sunday night. He's started eight of nine matches for the Fire.

Anibaba played at Santa Clara for three seasons and one at North Carolina. He was drafted by Chicago in the first round in 2011. A defender, Anibaba started 27 of 29 games as a rookie (two goals, one assist).

At Davis, Anibaba was a two-time all-Metro first-team selection.
